Blaine Sets World Record!

Blainecards Earlier today, Magician-Illusionist David Blaine set the world record for "breath-holding" on "The Oprah Winfrey Show".  He held his breath for a whopping 17 minutes and 4 seconds!!  Peter Colat of Swizterland had set the previous record  of 16 minutes and 32 seconds on Feb. 10.   Before the feat, Blaine was allowed to breathe pure oxygen for 30 minutes (he only inhaled for 23 minutes), which is allowed under the guidelines set by the Guiness Book of World Records.  How crazy is that?  Blaine is fast becoming the "endurance" artist of our time, having been incased in a block of ice, buried alive, and having spent 44-days inside a suspended, transparent plexiglas case in London.  What is he going to do next?!
