Today in 1893, Thomas Edison completed work on the world's first motion picture studio in West Orange, N.J. In 1953, Private Secretary, starring Ann Sothern, debuted on CBS. In 1954, The Secret Storm debuted on CBS. It would run for the next 20 years. In 1968, photographer Eddie Adams photographed and videotaped the execution of Viet Cong officer Nguyen Van Lem -- one of the most famous images out of the Vietnam war. In 1982, Late Night with David Letterman debuted on NBC. In 1996, Congress passed extensive revisions of the 1934 Communications Act. In 2004, Janet Jackson exposed her left breast during the half-time show at the Super Bowl.
